Exploration, cooperation and collaboration in the world of contemporary dance. 

 

 Over the last few months, the members of Co.da.s.i. have undertaken an in-depth, joint study involving some sixty dance professionals from their respective countries.

The aim of this study was to take stock of the situation and explore the historical elements linked to the development of contemporary dance in each country.

It also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and good practice, there by contributing to the debate on the sustainability and inclusion of contemporary dance. Nowa Fala, our Polish partner, has consolidated the results of these five studies to produce a synthesis.

This report, now available online, highlights the various policies supporting the contemporary dance sector in the participating countries. It also explores the artistic currents that have crossed our European territories, from north to south and from east to west, since the beginning of the 20th century.
